What are we doing and how does it affect you?
As with our first up grade, most of the items changed were to make the experience easier for the customer. Be it navigation, information or just being able to change little bits of the quote as they find more info. This time is no exception.
We had a number of associates who sadly are no longer with us due to the economic downturn, which left the site with a number of dead links on the main page as well as links that didn't really do anything. So we cleared the links and amended the links to remain to make it easier and quicker for the customer to get to the quote section. This included the addition of a number of links: Sell a Advent Laptop, Sell a Sony laptop, Sell a Dell laptop, Sell a Apple laptop, Sell a Asus laptop, Sell a Panasonic laptop, Sell a Fujitsu laptop, Sell a HP laptop, Sell a Compaq laptop, Sell a Emachines laptop, Sell a Toshiba laptop, Sell a Samsung laptop, Sell a Averatec laptop. All these links now go directly to the manufacturer page on the quote system.
Social Media Interactions:
Shortly we will be adding direct feeds from our facebook and twitter pages directly to our main page. This is so we can keep you up to date on special offers or machines that we are putting bonus's on. Don't forget our blog for the most up to date news from us.
Quote system Improvements:
We got a lot of feedback regarding our quote system regarding items that appear in our FAQ or T&C page. These will now shown to you prior to you completing your quotation. Our goal is to answer the questions before you need to ask them. We have also improved our charity option as a lot of our customer were not aware they had chosen the option but due to it being an audited process we were unable to change it back. We have now added a pop up reminder regarding you charity donation to make sure you are happy to help our charity The Place 2 Be. There is also the option that if you choose to take a quote from us and receive one of our reference numbers, we will be able to process your laptop from the original order number. This is to aid us against duplications of the same order and should there be a reason to contact us it will be much easier for us to find your relative order.
People forget things, its human nature. Our previous back end was a bit set in stone. Once the machine had been processed there were no ways of adjusting the quote if say the customer wanted to send a charger they had forgotten to send in, we can now adjust and re-issue the quote with the amendments. We also have copies of every email sent our regarding the amendments to make it quicker and easier if the customer doesn't receive the original email.
