If I cancel how much will it cost to get my laptop back?
There will be a charge of £11.95 for any laptops returned to the customer. Your laptop will be sent by 1st class post following cleared funds which are payable by debit/credit card or cheque.
What payment methods do you support?
We now support Cheque payment and Direct Bank Transfer.
We currently do not support Cash, Postal Order, Paypal or Western Union.
When do I get paid?
As soon as your machine has been accepted it will be put forward for payment.
My Cheque hasn’t arrived, what can I do?
We require 14 days from date of issue for lost cheques at which point we will either issue a new cheque or use the Direct Bank Transfer option.
What do I need to send to you?
Send your laptop, the charger and any software that come with it.
Do I need to include all the power cables?
If you have them yes, if not make sure you clearly mark this on the instant quote page to make sure there is no delay in your order.
How do I get the box back to you?
Just attach the label from inside the box to the out side of the box. Make sure it’s sealed securely then take it to any UK post office and hand it over, it’s completely free and you don’t need to wait in all day for a courier to collect.
When Sell Your Laptops pays for shipping; how do I ship my laptop?
We will mail you a box, packaging and a prepaid shipping label. All you need to do is put your laptop in the package, adhere the shipping label to the box, and go to sellyourlaptops.co.uk and click the track laptop link, from here you can tell us you are ready for us to collect. You can also use our contact form, found here, to inform us you are ready. You will not be charged any shipping fees and the shipping cost will not be deducted from your payment*.
How do I track my laptop when you have it?

I have sensitive information stored on my laptop’s hard drive. Should I erase it myself?
It is up to you. We fully erase and reformat each and every hard disk we receive before processing a laptop any further to make sure your data is safe.
My laptop is in bad condition - it's falling apart! I don't think you'd want to buy it.

Do you buy desktops, or any other computer devices?
We only buy laptop and tablet pc’s
What does you inspection consist of?
The first part of the inspection is to collaborate the details you have entered in the quote match the spec’s and condition of the laptop you have sent. We then contact the local authorities to make sure it has not been reported stolen; this can take up to 48hrs. Once we are satisfied they match, we data wipe the system and re-install the operating system as per the COA. On completion we close off the paperwork and issue your payment. If there is a problem, we will contract you right away.
Can I check the progress of my order at any time?
Yes, click the track laptop button on the home page and enter your email address and reference number, all your details will be listed there.
Can I cancel at any point and get my laptop back?
Once we have processed the computer and we have checked all the criteria your machine may have been split down. If you do wish to cancel your orders please inform us as soon as possible and we will inform you if return are available. We reserve the right not to return the item instead of payment if more than 5 days have passed from initially placing the order.
I live outside the UK; can I still use this service?
No, sorry we only cover the UK and Scottish Highlands. We are also unable to cover Northern Ireland at the moment due to insurance requirements.
